Rumors have been circulating about water flowing from a rock on the temple mount in Jerusalem. Reports were coming through from various sources. Reporters wrote that nobody could figure out what was causing the flow since there was no well nor plumbing near the rock. It was causing much excitement in the city. Jews are saying that it is a "sign" of the return of the Messiah. A few days later we got another report from Jerusalem, friends of the ministry went to investigate and they wrote what they found, a little water trickle which had been there for years.
The best place to go, of course, to find out when this water is supposed to be flowing from Jerusalem are the Scriptures. And, we can pin it down exactly: This event describes the end of the tribulation, Armageddon.
"And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south." (Zechariah 14:4) "But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, [that] at evening time it shall be light. And it shall be in that day, [that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea; in summer and in winter shall it be." (Zechariah 14:7,8)
