Thank you for coming to this page. To give you some idea
about us, we are Incorporated under the statutes of the State
of Colorado since June 9, 1992 as a nonprofit Corporation and
also in Florida at the Florida Department of State since November
5, 1997, as Cephas Ministry Inc. under directors George &
Rita Williams . Due to the peculiarity of this work, we do not
maintain a membership. Because the public donation base is so
small, we were classified as a Family Foundation under section
501 (c) (3) funded by donations from the public minimum of 15%
we contribute 85% of the cost from our personal income. There
is no paid personnel, no buildings, no other investments. All
donations are used to deliver education about cults to the public
by newsletter and internet websites. We humbly appreciate any
financial donations to keep us publishing for the Lord .
Our ministry is exempt from Federal Income Tax which
allows donors to fully deduct their donations. We send a letter
of receipt on Ministry letterhead stationary. Then in January
we mail out a statement for total donations summarized for the
previous year to each donor, to certify donations for the IRS
Tax return. The donor's names do not appear on any lists. We do
not sell mailing lists. Our reports to the IRS are final summarized
annual financial statements which are available and publicised
in the newspaper once a year. Some people find it necessary to
donate anonymously because of their affiliations.
Some other ministries in this field do not approve of
our IRS status. Our application stated fully what we do and we
qualified for the status. The government does not tell us how
to conduct the ministry with one exception: we are not allowed
to swing votes in an election which is only fair. The reason we
felt it necessary to adopt the exempt status was protection from
law suits. To incorporate as a nonprofit, one has to have exempt
status. We also receive a reduced nonprofit rate for mailing our
newsletters. We do not charge for our newsletters and would not
be able to send them without this rate reduction.
This is scary territory. There are only a handful of
ministries worldwide because it is frontline stuff. Everyone who
is doing this type of activity has come out of cults due
to someone who dared to write or talk about it. It is a
labor of love focused on those who are still trapped, those who
might get caught in false teachings unwittingly and believers
who are trying to figure out what has happened to their church.
Not knowing what the teachings are of organizations in
question, we were drawn by them even though we were committed
Christians until we studied the Word of God in depth and
realized that many "churches" were not teaching the
truth as set forth in the Word of God.
