WHY WE CAN'T BE DRAWN BY THE POPE

We  understand perfectly why many are drawn by Pope Paul  II,  he seems  very genuine. Raised a Lutheran and Luther is one  of  the first who taught the concept of grace. The Pope does not teach it to  this day. Purgatory is not where believers end up  when  they die  because  they are under grace. To believe  in  purgatory  is blasphemy and here is why:

The Scripture addresses the priesthood of the Old Testament,  the Aaronic  (Levitical) Priesthood. It states that there  would  not have  been any need for Jesus Christ if that priesthood had  been sufficient. The problem was that the blood used for sins was from animals  which were also under the curse upon Adam.  The  priests
had  to keep sacrificing animals and could only hold the  priest hood by birth to a Levitical priest (the tribe of Levy set  aside by God for this priesthood). God was very specific as to who  was and  was not going to be His priest in charge of the shedding  of blood.

The Pope has the title of Melchisedek priest which means that  he is God's priest. The Pope was not of the tribe of Levy, nor could he possibly be a Melchisedek priest. There is only one  Melchisedek  priest  because a Melchisedek priest has the power  to  give eternal life. God Himself ordains a Melchisedek priest. The  Pope
is elected by the a group of people in the Vatican. Now following is the reason why the Pope cannot be a Melchisedek priest.

11  "If  therefore perfection were by the  Levitical  priesthood, (for  under  it the people received the law,) what  further  need [was  there] that another priest should rise after the  order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12  For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also  of  the  law. 13 For he of whom these  things  are  spoken pertaineth  to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance  at the  altar. 14 For [it is] evident that our Lord sprang  out  of Juda;  of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning  priesthood. (Hebrews 7:11-14)

14 "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into  the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold  fast  [our] profession.  15 For we have not an high priest which  cannot  be touched  with  the  feeling of our infirmities; but  was  in  all points  tempted  like as [we are, yet] without sin.  16  Let  us therefore  come  boldly  unto the throne of grace,  that  we  may obtain  mercy,  and find grace to help in time of  need.

1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in  things [pertaining] to God, that he may offer both gifts  and sacrifices for sins: 2 Who can have compassion on the  ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed  with infirmity. 3 And by reason hereof he  ought,  as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. 4 And no man  taketh  this honour unto himself, but he that is  called  of God,  as [was] Aaron. 5 So also Christ glorified not Himself  to be  made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou  art  my Son,  today have I begotten thee. 6 As he saith also in  another [place], Thou [art] a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec. (Hebrews 5)

20 "Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus,  made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.  (Hebrews 6:20)  5  "Ye also, as lively stones, are built up  a  spiritual house,  an  holy priesthood, to offer  up  spiritual  sacrifices, acceptable  to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is  contained  in  the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a  chief  corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be
confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the  builders disallowed,  the  same is made the head of the corner, 8  And  a stone  of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them]  which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they  were
appointed.  9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal  priest hood,  an  holy nation, a peculiar people; that  ye  should  shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (1 Peter 2:5-9)

5  "Now  the  end of the commandment is charity out  of  a  pure heart,  and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith  unfeigned:  6 From  which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain  jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding  neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. (1 Timothy 1:5-7)

3  "For the time will come when they will not endure  sound  doctrine;  but after their own lusts shall they heap  to  themselves teachers, having itching ears; (2 Timothy 4:3)

12  "For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have  need that  one teach you again which [be] the first principles of  the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (Hebrews 5:12)

1  "But there were false prophets also among the people, even  as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall  bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. (2 Peter 2:1)

24  "He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the  word which  ye  hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent  me.  25 These  things  have I spoken unto you, being [yet]  present  with you.  26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom  the Father  will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,  and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. (John 14:24,25)

The  Gentiles were never under the law and are not under the  law today.  Most  preachers use the law to make us  tithe  and  serve their  organizations.  Jesus has a different  priesthood  and  He teaches  two commandments: to love God with your heart, mind  and spirit and love your neighbour which covers everything. 14  "For  sin shall not have dominion over you: for  ye  are  not under the law, but under grace. (Romans 6:14)

21  "To  them that are without law, as without  law,  (being  not without  law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that  I  might gain them that are without law. (1 Corinthians 9:21)

10  "For  as many as are of the works of the law  are  under  the curse:  for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that  continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to  do them. (Galatians 3:10)

18  "But  if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under  the  law. (Galatians  5:18) 25 "Wherefore he is able also to save  them  to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. (Hebrews 7:25)

2 "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,  promised before  the world began; (Titus 1:2) 7 "That being  justified  by his  grace,  we  should be made heirs according to  the  hope  of eternal life. (Titus 3:7)

21  "That  as sin hath reigned unto death, even  so  might  grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 5:21)
