Welcome to The Parliament of the World's Religion WEBCAST

In December, more than 6,000 people converged on Cape Town, South Africa for the 1999 Parliament of the World's Religions. At this remarkable gathering, some of the world's most religious and spiritual representatives joined with participants from more than 100 countries for a week of dialogue and celebration.

As part of the extensive array of activities, a unique initiative of the 1999 Parliament was the Gifts of Service to the World. This programme recognized key projects of service to the human community and the earth and served as examples of the creative, constructive and transforming power of organizations and communities that choose to make a difference.

The Word Foundation was presented to the 1999 World Parliament of Religions on Wednesday, 1 December 1999 as one of the Gifts of Service to the World. The presentation was made by The Very Reverend James Parks Morton, director of the Interfaith Center of New York and Chair of the Word Foundation. [Editor's note: we could not get any information on "Word Foundation" (interesting name), it is not open to anybody. One has to be a member].

Two of the first projects of the Word Foundation are a public webcast of the Parliament, and an Intranet for Parliament participants.

Mission Mobilizers infiltrate churches..

Delusion Apostasy Watch - 6.2.00 - The US Center for World Mission (which gave birth to the AD2000 Beyond Movement) has long been training what they call "mission mobilizers" to infiltrate churches. The Assemblies of God and the Southern Baptist Convention were early targets of the US CWM's efforts. Now there are over seventy denominations in Mission American (the US affiliate of both AD2000 and Lausanne). The A/G currently has so many Latter Rain and Brownsville supporters in their rank and file that their leadership is going to great lengths to prevent a denominational split over the issue.
